Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Seva Kendra, Kim is a member of Gujarat level Bhava Prachar Parishad of Ramakrishna mission. Bhava Prachar Parishad's centres are engaged to cultivate cultural, moral & spiritual values and encourage spirit of service as per ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

Seva Kendra is able to do work due to blessings of monastic members of Ramakrishna mission & Sarda Math. In addition to hard work of staff members and volunteers, help of Sadhna Kutir Hospital, local Community, Kim Gram Panchayat and support of co-operative societies made activities of Seva Kendra effective and noteworthy.

Objectives
Assist poor people by various means.
 
Provide supplementary educational support to children coming from poor families.
 
Foster character building values among people by various measure like library, satsang, celebrations of various festivals and birth anniversaries.
Approach
The activities are based upon certain principles as evident in life & teachings of Sri Ramakrishna & Swami Vivekananda E.g all religions are different path leading to same god, serving poor seeing God in him and by helping others we actually help ourselves.
 
Beginning
A small and humble but informal beginning was made on birth anniversary of Sri Sardadevi, 22nd December 1997, by providing free meals at "Sadhana kutir hospital" at Kim. With goodwill and help of many people, activity gradually expanded and resulted in formal beginning of Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Seva Kendra on 16th February 2000. The Seva Kendra is also registered with office of charity commissioner at Surat.
